2019-2020 AZPOA SCHOLARSHIP FUND INFORMATION


You are eligible to apply and be considered for an award from the AZPOA Scholarship Fund if you are currently a son, daughter or grandchild (or under the legal guardianship) of active, retired or deceased public safety officers and firefighters throughout the state of Arizona.

All decisions of the 100 Club Scholarship Committee regarding eligibility for the AZPOA Scholarship Fund are final. Three scholarship awards of $5,000.00 each will be granted to eligible students who satisfy the selection criteria. Applicants must be high school seniors preparing to enter their freshman year in college or trade school in the Fall of 2019 or continuing undergraduate students at the time of application or students who have previously graduated from high school and are entering college or a trade school in Fall 2019 as their first semester. Students must be enrolled full-time. This scholarship is not intended for high school students enrolled in dual credit college/high school classes. Funds may only be applied to undergraduate degree programs in community colleges or four-year colleges or universities in or out of the state of Arizona as well as post secondary trade schools. Applicants must be citizens of the United States.

Scholarship Selection Criteria

In addition to the aforementioned eligibility requirements, selection will be based upon the following criteria established by the 100 Club:

A student may not receive more than one 100 Scholarship Award during any school year.  The students (or their designee) receiving the scholarship awards in 2019 should prepare to attend the award presentation ceremony.  The student will sign a scholarship contract with requirements of full-time enrollment, GPA of 2.8, transcript submission and agreement to abide by the code of conduct at the educational or vocational institution and agreement to conduct their personal life so as not to discredit the 100 Club of Arizona.  Volunteer hours may be required for scholarship winners.

You are eligible to apply and be considered for an award from the CLEAA Scholarship if you are a son, daughter (or under the legal guardianship)(natural, adopted or step child) or grandchild of active, retired or deceased public safety officers and firefighters throughout the state of Arizona.

All decisions of the 100 Club Scholarship Committee regarding eligibility for the CLEAA Scholarship Fund are final. Three scholarship awards of $5,000.00 will be granted to an eligible student who satisfies the selection criteria. Applicants must be high school seniors preparing to enter their freshman year in college in the Fall of 2019 or continuing undergraduate students at the time of application or students who have previously graduated from high school and are entering college or a trade school in the fall of 2019 as their first semester. America's 911 Foundation, Inc. College Scholarship Fund

The purpose of America’s 911 Foundation is to never forget September 11, 2001.  They fund a college scholarship program for children of Active First Responders (EMS, FIRE, POLICE) who each day place their lives on the line.  Retired/deceased are not eligible for this opportunity.
